Dr John Erkoyuncu is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Service Engineering at Cranfield University. He is the Deputy-Director of the Through-life Engineering Services Centre. His research focuses on how modelling, simulation and visualisation can enhance decision making capability in through-life engineering. He is currently supervising MSc/PhD projects related to modelling uncertainty and enhancing maintenance delivery, which are funded by the likes of BAE systems, Rolls-Royce, Marshall Group, Siemens, and MoD.
Dr. Erkoyuncu is the Course Director for the MSc in Through-life System Sustainment. John has successfully supervised over sixty MSc projects that have been initiated with the likes of BAE systems, Rolls-Royce, MoD and GE Healthcare. He is currently supervising ten PhD projects related to modelling uncertainty, augmented reality and enhancing maintenance delivery, which are industrially funded. He is a Member of IET and the Chair of the CIRP Research Affiliates.
